Cash helps Angmering children take pride in park
In the past few months, there has been a rise in the number of graffiti-related crimes taking place at the skating area, in Mayflower Park, which has seen vandals spray obscenities onto the skate bowl.
However, an innovative initiative launched by Angmering Parish Council, in conjunction with Sussex Police, is set to encourage young people to take ownership of their skating facility in an effort to drive down anti-social crime.

It will see the council launching a competition at The Angmering School for young people to create their own graffiti design which, using the £200, would then be sprayed onto the skate bowl. A council spokeswoman said: “Hopefully, this will give young people a sense of responsibility and ownership of the park.”
